Mr. H. K. Agarwal

Mr. H. K. Agarwal is the Managing Director of Grasim Industries Limited, a flagship company of Aditya Birla Group, and the Business Director of the Group's Global Pulp & Fibre Business. He is on the Board of Aditya Birla Management Corporation Private Limited, the apex corporate body that provides strategic direction and vision to the Group companies.

For the past 40 years, Mr. Agarwal has held leadership positions within the Aditya Birla Group's Cement, Chemicals, Advanced Materials, and Pulp & Fibre businesses. Birla White, the brainchild of Mr. Agarwal, dominates the white cement industry in India today.

He was also the Country Head of Thailand and managed the global business of Aditya Birla Group in Southeast Asia and China. He was the driving force in setting up Thailand's first hydrogen peroxide plant, initiating financial restructuring and integrating four different chemical entities with different sets of shareholders into Aditya Birla Chemicals (Thailand). In the Pulp & Fibre Business, he was instrumental in setting up the world's largest integrated viscose plant in Vilayat and the fibre industry's first zero-liquid discharge plant at Nagda, India.

Mr. Agarwal is an all-India rank holding chartered accountant and has undergone several national and international programmes in Management and Leadership Development, including AMP at Harvard and an Executive MBA from Sasin, Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok. He is also a recipient of the Chairman's Outstanding Leader Award (2012) and, in 2021, was awarded the 'Certificate of Excellence' for his outstanding contribution to Grasim's growth.
