"Working on the Novelis transaction was like a rollercoaster ride for all the team members. I was supporting the team on the legal side of the transaction. I not only liaised with the lawyers in different jurisdictions but also did a detailed study of different forms of M&A transactions in Canada and the advantage of one over the other. My senior and I were responsible for doing an in - depth study of all the agreements, documents and due diligence reports and highlighting the key legal issues to the management. I was also involved in getting various anti trust/competition laws clearances in various jurisdictions, which was one of the key factors for closing of the transaction."
