Panjim: Madura Fashion &Lifestyle has launched a new multi-brand fashion e-commerce portal, www.trendin.com to support the growth of its retail business. Trendin.com is defined by its popular brands — Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Allen Solly, Peter England and People — that personify style, attitude, luxury and comfort.

“Goa's GDP is 2.5 times higher than the national average so the propensity for people to spend is higher and the brand awareness is higher but the availability of the brand store is limited to only three brands where Trendin.com is filling in the gap by providing Goans to shop from the other Madura Fashion &Lifestyle brands — Louis Philippe, People and Pantaloons.”

The e-commerce division of the leading Indian fashion retailer, Trendin.com is truly a multi-brand website that fully integrates with the brick and mortar stores and introduces many new and improved omni-channel features. Trendin.com caters to men, women and kids with offerings varying from casual wear to formal wear and sports-wear to party wear, under product lines that range from affordable and mass-market to premium segment.

Shivanandan Pare, head of e-commerce, Madura Fashion and Lifestyle shared the developments at Trendin.com and explained why the Goan market is exciting for the brand.

"Although Goa is currently contributing to 1% of total sales for Trendin.com, we see it growing at a rate of 250% plus which has led us to look at the Goan market very closely. From within the Madura Fashion and Lifestyle brands we only have a physical store presence of Allen Solly, Peter England and Van Heusen stores in Goa. Goa's GDP is 2.5 times higher than the national average so the propensity for people to spend is higher and the brand awareness is higher but the availability of the brand store is limited to only three brands where Trendin.com is filling in the gap by providing Goans to shop from the other Madura Fashion &Lifestyle brands — Louis Philippe, People and Pantaloons," said Pare.

He further explained that sales mix showed that in Goa 45% people spend money on menswear, 45% on womenswear and 10% on kidswear and accessories. The statistics show us a higher percentage spends on womenswear as compared to the rest of India. In terms of penetration, Trendin.com services 98 out of 101 pin codes in Goa resulting in maximum presence within the market.
