Corporate
World Class Manufacturing (CWCM) actively
engages with the Group's manufacturing and
service businesses for building excellence
in their processes through adoption of the
WCM model. The WCM model and roadmap for
excellence are customised for specific manufacturing
and service businesses of the Group. The
WCM model incorporates best practices from
renowned international business excellence
/ quality models such as MBNQA, EFQM and
Deming Prize.
CWCM
supports businesses / units through assessment,
audits and implementing improvement actions.
The function also provides value-adding
services through proven initiatives such
as TPM, TQM, Lean Six Sigma and other emerging
tools and techniques. This includes identification
of high impact projects, imparting skills
and competencies to the project teams and
mentoring to realise tangible benefits through
on-site / off-site support.
CWCM
works closely with Group units in building
a culture with a focus on behavioural transformation.
The function builds an external network of
professionals / institutions from across the
globe for seeking contemporary best practices
and provides internal platforms for sharing
and learning. CWCM also designs, develops
and manages the Chairman's WCM awards and
Group-wide team competitions.
