The Story of a Global Textile Powerhouse

Weaving the Fabric of a Sustainable Future

world map

Across continents and cultures, textiles tell a story — of tradition, innovation, resilience, and evolution. At the heart of this global narrative stands Aditya Birla Group, weaving together the threads of performance, sustainability, and purpose.

In the early days of post-independence, Aditya Birla Group’s flagship company Grasim set up a unit for manmade fibres to counter the scarcity of cotton.

In the years since, the Group has grown into a global powerhouse for textiles, with a portfolio that includes cellulosic fibres, yarn, linen and acrylic fibres. The footprint has expanded outside India to cover Thailand, Indonesia, Germany, and Slovakia. The Group has established itself as a global leader in the textile industry, shaping trends and setting benchmarks that others strive to follow.
