Aditya Birla Fashion appoints Ashish Dikshit managing director

Bengaluru:Aditya Birla Fashionand Retail Ltd (ABFRL) said it appointedAshish Dikshitmanaging director of the company, replacing Pranab Barua with effect from Feb 1.

Dikshit, who is currently the business head of the of Madura Fashion and Lifestyle division, will take up the new position for a period of five years, the retailer of Louis Phillippe and Van Heusen brands said in a filing with the BSE on Tuesday. Barua, however, will be retained in the company as an additional director of the board "in view of his vast knowledge and experience and the immense value that he brings," the company said. The appointments of both Dikshit and Barua are subject to shareholder approval.

ABFRL added that chief financial officer S Visvanathan has resigned to pursue a career outside the company and will step down effective Feb 28. He will be replaced by Jagdish Bajaj, who has over two decades of experience with the Aditya Birla Group, as the new CFO, effective April.
