Mr. Jayant Dua

Mr. Jayant Dua is the Business Head – of Renewables & DTAFOS (Domestic Textiles, Acrylic Fibre & Overseas Spinning).

He has been associated with Aditya Birla Group in various group businesses and roles for over two decades.

Before taking on the responsibility of Renewables & Textiles business as Business Head, he was spearheading Grasim Ind. Ltd. – Domestic Chlor Alkali Division – as the Chief Executive Officer.

In his earlier stint, Mr. Dua spent close to a decade in the cement business in capacities as diverse as Marketing, IT, and Strategy, and was responsible for International M&A across emerging and mature markets. He was the CEO & Managing Director of Birla Sun Life Insurance (BSLI), for a period of four years, before which he was the CEO of our Insulators Business.

In 2014, he moved as Group Executive President, International Markets overseeing UltraTech's internationalisation into markets outside India and was also responsible for International M&A across emerging and mature markets. He also headed Century Cement as a CEO, until it merged with UltraTech.

Mr. Dua is the recipient of various Aditya Birla Group awards and accolades, some of which are: ‘Leader of the Leaders Award’ in 2022, ‘Outstanding Leader Award’ in 2008, and ‘Exceptional Contributor Award’ in 2002.

He holds a Chemical Engineering degree from IIT Delhi, an MBA from IMI Delhi, and is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, USA.
