Mr. Kapil Agrawal

Mr. Kapil Agrawal is the Business Head, Textiles, Aditya Birla Group. He is a Chartered Accountant and has completed several national and international management and leadership development programmes, including INSEAD's cutting-edge programme, an advanced management programme at Harvard, and the Global Leadership Programme at IIM Ahmedabad. He received the Chairman's "Outstanding Leader Award" in 2022.

Mr. Agrawal has been with Aditya Birla Group for the last 29 years and has held multiple crucial positions across businesses. He has worked in multiple roles such as Executive Assistant to Chairman, Regional Head & Head for Buying and Merchandising, Head of Supply Chain, and Head of Operations. In his last assignment, he led a team of 5000 people with diverse ethnicities – Indians, Thais, Indonesians, Germans, and Slovaks.

He has led the business with a punch, weaving success through thick and thin, and has delivered profitable growth. He has a clear passion for strong financial management and working capital management. With a strong focus on operational excellence, he makes astute decisions look easy. He brings a very strong intensity to his work and, across roles, has been a passionate ambassador of the Group in India and abroad, bringing a balance of processes and strategic perspective to the table.

He has done pioneering work for the business, on the customer side as well as on the sharp and effective management of working capital. In a business that has seen robust growth as well as tough downturns, his prudence and focus have helped the business tide over challenges well and thrive. He has stayed alert to business opportunities and has rallied the team well in responding to emerging opportunities.
