Ultravolt is the wires and cables brand of Aditya Birla Group, housed under UltraTech Cement Limited. Launched on 3 September 2026, Ultravolt marked the Group’s fourth new business foray in three years.

In 2025, UltraTech, the cement flagship the Group, announced its entry into the wires and cables segment with a planned capital expenditure of INR 1,800 crore. 

At launch, Ultravolt became the second-largest player in India’s wires segment by manufacturing capacity. The business aims to build a scaled national brand and emerge as one of the top two players in the wires and cables segment within five years.

Ultravolt plans to reach more than one lakh retailers across India, complemented by availability through over 5,000 UltraTech Building Solutions (UBS) outlets. Its initial rollout spans more than 500 districts and 6,000 pin codes. A network of more than 20 warehouses, extensive channel connections and UltraTech’s pan-India distribution footprint provide the business with a strong platform to scale.

Ultravolt also benefits from UltraTech’s deep relationships across the construction ecosystem, including individual home builders, contractors, real-estate developers and Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) companies.

The business is anchored by a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Jhagadia in Bharuch district, Gujarat.

Alongside building its manufacturing and distribution network, Ultravolt is developing a comprehensive electrician-engagement programme focused on enhancing product knowledge, safety and installation standards. More than 1,600 electricians were onboarded even before the brand’s launch. Over the coming year, Ultravolt aims to train more than 40,000 electricians under the Skill India programme in association with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI).
