Italy

Italy is a strong market for metals, carbon black, cellulosic fibre and textiles businesses of Aditya Birla Group. 

Novelis has two manufacturing units across Italy. Its plant in Bresso, to the north of Milan, produces pre-painted aluminium as well as sheets with special surfaces such as bright and embossed finishes. The Pieve plant, situated in the south of Milan, has more than 50 years of experience in rolling aluminium. The plant has state-of-the-art aluminiumscrap recycling, continuous casting and cold rolling equipment. Its products are primarily supplied to Novelis’ European coil-coating lines and to customers producing speciality products. 

The Group’s carbon black speciality solutions provider, Birla Carbon, has a manufacturing facility at  San Martino di Trecate, Italy. 

Italy is also a strong export market for the Group’s cellulosic fibre and textile businesses, Aditya Birla Yarns, PT Sunrise Bumi Textiles (Indonesia), Indo Thai Synthetics (Thailand), PT Elegant Textile Industry (Indonesia), and PT Indo Liberty Textiles (Indonesia).
