In 2019, Grasim acquired Grasim Premium Fabric (erstwhile Soktas India Private Limited - SIPL) from its Turkish parent company. GPF is engaged in business of manufacturing and distribution of world-renowned premium cotton fabrics. Today, GPF is in the business of
manufacturing and the distribution of premium cotton fabrics. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located at Kolhapur, Maharashtra. Its plant capacity is about 10 million metres per annum of finished fabric. GPF sells premium fabrics in India under the ‘SÖKTAŞ’, ‘Giza House’ and ‘Excellence by SÖKTAŞ’ brands. The company is also a preferred supplier to leading Indian and global menswear brands.
Aditya Birla Group’s Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. Ltd (TAF) is among the world’s top 5 quality acrylic fibre producers. It manufactures different varieties of acrylic fibre like raw white, Acrylic tow (worsted spinning), Acrylic staple fibre (raw White), dope dyed & solution dyed acrylic.
Incorporated in 1987, TAF produces more than 30 different types of speciality fibres, including technical fibres for high-end applications. Marketed under the brand name Birlacril™, the product range comprises a variety of acrylic fibres used for making sweaters, blankets, carpets, upholstery, soft toys, and awnings, etc. Thai Acrylic Fibre plant is also one of the greenest, cleanest and the most environment-friendly acrylic fibre plants in the world.
