“The Clean India campaign has been quite active at the Aditya Birla Centre in Mumbai and the first Clean Up Drive was carried out on 18 October 2014. Every a;lternate Saturday, volunteers enthusiastically clean up the S. K. Ahire Marg (the road outside the Aditya Birla Centre in Mumbai). We have also had several other activities such as a ‘Clean Desk’ contest and an ongoing ‘Slogan Writing’ contest in order to engage our colleagues and contribute our bit for the overall development of the society,” said Mr. Subrato Sarkaar, Jt. President, Corporate Administration.

In addition, employees have been regularly volunteering to clean up the localities around the Aditya Birla and Ahura Centre in Mumbai. The Group has installed dustbins at S. K. Ahire Marg. Volunteers have also requested food vendors in the area to keep it clean and place dustbins at their stalls. Signboards in English and Marathi have been put up requesting people to maintain cleanliness and throw garbage in the dustbins after eating.
