Achieving operational excellence

The Aditya Birla Group, a premium global conglomerate, organised a first-of-its-kind Operational Excellence (Opex) conclave on 22-23 December 2014, at the Aditya Birla Science and Technology Centre in Navi Mumbai, India. The Opex conclave acted as a common platform for leaders of both manufacturing and retail industry to share thought-provoking ideas on the concept of business excellence.

Organised by the Corporate Business Excellence function, the two-day event focused on harnessing the potential of competencies developed in the areas of six sigma, lean and value engineering, to provide further fillip to the Group’s on-going operational excellence programme.

Mr. B. N. Jha, Sr. Vice President, Corporate Business Excellence, ABMCPL; Mr. Rajiv Dube, Director, Group Corporate Services; Mr. V. V. Surya Rau, President – Group Manufacturing Services, Reliance Industries Ltd; Mr. Jugal Prasad from Wipro, Mr. Jagdish Ramaswamy, President, Corporate Business Excellence, ABMCPL; Mr. Amit Chatterjee of ASQ India, Mr. Dilip Gaur, Deputy MD &; CMO, UltraTech Cement, Mr. Kartik Modi of Godrej Locking Solutions and Systems, and others participated in the conclave.

The leaders deliberated on the current challenges and the excellence strategy for future during the event. The Opex conclave provided a platform for experts to engage and learn from each other in the realm of excellence.
