Attracting considerable attention at the prestigious Seventh International Conference on Aluminium and Exhibition (INCAL-2019) held in Bhubaneswar from January 31 to February 3, was an innovative bulker designed by Hindalco. Set to usher a revolution in the transportation industry, the lightweight and cost-efficient aluminium bulker makes travel efficient and sustainable not just for the customer but also for the environment.

Indigenously built next-gen aluminium bulker

As showcased at the event, bulkers made of aluminium are lighter in weight and enjoy a longer life with lower maintenance cost as compared to those manufactured with mild steel (MS). The 30-cubic- meter bulker, for instance, is two tonnes lighter than an MS bulker and the benefits increase proportionately with size.

Hindalco’s aluminium bulker boasts of several other advantages over the steel version, which make it particularly eco-friendly. It has better corrosion resistance and heat transfer properties which lead to lower emissions and reduced generation of industrial waste. It is lighter in weight, and thus puts less strain on the engine and tyres, resulting in improved fuel efficiency.

The distinct advantages of the aluminium bulker made it one of the major highlights of INCAL 2019. It helped Hindalco display the versatility, strength and efficiency of aluminium and its benefits to the commercial vehicle segment and tied in perfectly with the theme of the conference organised by the Aluminium Association Of India (AAI): ‘Making Aluminium …Driving Growth and Development.’
