The Novelis plant in Nachterstedt is one of the largest and most successful employers in the Saxony-Anhalt region, and supplies high-quality rolled aluminium products to the automotive, can, industrial and construction markets worldwide. The world's largest aluminium recycling centre is also located here, which can produce up to 400,000 tons of aluminium sheet ingots from recycled material.
Novelis’ other plants are at Ohle and Voerde. Then, there is Aluminium Norf GmbH, which is jointly owned by Novelis and aluminium rolling and recycling company Speira and which is the world’s largest and most technologically advanced aluminium manufacturing facility.
