Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla honoured with USISPF Global Leadership Award

We are proud to share that Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman, Aditya Birla Group, has been honoured with the Global Leadership Award by the U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF). The award was presented at USISPF’s eighth annual Leadership Summit held in Washington, D.C., where Mr. Birla was recognised for his exceptional role in deepening the U.S.-India economic partnership.

Mr. Birla was felicitated, alongside Mr. Arvind Krishna, Chairman and CEO, IBM, and Mr. Toshiaki Higashihara, Executive Chairman, Hitachi. The award acknowledges Mr. Birla’s leadership of Aditya Birla Group, the largest Indian investor in the United States, and his contribution to strengthening economic ties between the two nations.

This year’s summit featured notable dignitaries including Second Lady Usha Vance, U.S. Deputy Secretaries Christopher Landou and James Danly, Senator Steve Daines, Representatives Ro Khanna and Rich McCormick, and Ambassador of India to the U.S., Vinay Mohan Kwatra.

This honour adds to a growing list of prestigious recognitions for Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla. In 2023, Mr. Birla was conferred the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian awards, for his contribution to industry and economic growth. That same year, he was named Business Leader of the Decade by AIMA. In 2024, he was recognised as ET Business Leader of the Year, and most recently, as Business Icon of the Year by Business Today in 2025.

The latest USISPF award is truly a tribute to Mr. Birla’s enduring vision and commitment to taking India to the world.
